Recently, in order to implement the "CPC Central Committee and State Council on deepening the oil and gas reform of a number of opinions" and "Energy Production and Consumption Revolution Strategy (2016-2030)" requirements, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Board jointly issued the "Medium and Long-term Oil and Gas Pipeline Network Planning".

      According to the Plan, by 2020, the total mileage of the national oil and gas pipeline network will reach 169,000 kilometers, and the incremental scales of natural gas, crude oil and refined oil products pipelines during the 13th Five-Year Plan period will be 40,000 kilometers, 0.5 million kilometers and 12,000 kilometers respectively. By 2025, the total mileage of the national oil and gas pipeline network will further climb to 240,000 kilometers. According to our calculations, "13th Five-Year Plan" and "14th Five-Year Plan" period of oil and gas pipeline network trunk road investment will reach 712 billion yuan and 967 billion yuan, totaling about 1,679 billion yuan, corresponding to the demand for industrial valves more than 30 billion yuan.

      The Plan proposes to increase basic research and scientific and technological research and innovation efforts to enhance the large-scale compressor units, SCADA systems, large-diameter high-pressure valves and other key equipment for pipeline network autonomy.
