According to the website of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), recently, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC) "Ordos - Anping - Cangzhou" gas pipeline project was officially approved. This is SINOPEC to implement the central government's program on clean heating in the northern region, and to help the national "2+26" cities to prevent and control air pollution, which is of great significance to meet the demand for natural gas in the northern region and to drive the economic and social development of the areas along the route.
As a national "13th Five-Year Plan" planning for large-scale energy projects, EAC pipeline project with a total investment of 34.4 billion yuan, the main construction content, including a trunk line and five branch lines, with a total length of 2,293 kilometers, starting from Shenmu in Shaanxi Province in the west, east of Cangzhou in Hebei Province in the east, south of Henan Province, Puyang connected to the Wen23 gas storage reservoir, north of Xiong'an New Area, through the Mongolia-Shaanxi-Jin-Jiwei/Huainan-Hubei provinces, in a cross shape. The pipeline crosses five provinces in the shape of a cross, interconnected, with a designed annual gas transmission capacity of 30 billion cubic meters.
The main gas source of the pipeline is coal gas from Ordos area and conventional natural gas from North China. The resources of the first phase of the project are LNG imported from Tianjin and other places, and it is connected with the largest underground gas storage reservoir in eastern China - the original 23 gas storage reservoir in the original language, which can realize the flexible deployment of different resources from domestic and foreign countries in north China, and give full play to the role of the LNG receiving terminal and the underground storage reservoir in north China as a guarantee for the peaking of the region. In the medium and long term, it can provide transmission channels for coal gas, coalbed methane and conventional natural gas in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and Shanxi, promoting the development and utilization of clean energy.
At present, SINOPEC is vigorously promoting the first phase of the project, i.e., the section from Luquan to Cangzhou in Hebei, the section from Anping to Baoding in Hebei and the section from Anping to Puyang in Henan, which is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2019. After the completion of the first phase of the project, it will be the first high-pressure, large-diameter gas supply pipeline in Xiong'an New Area.
